Guardian
Frontline defender with counterattacks. Uses Fortify to boost Armor and Taunt to force enemies to attack him, protecting allies while dealing revenge damage.
Unit Stats
Abilities
Deals 1 + STR physical damage. Basic melee attack.
Grants Fortify: +Armor equal to current STR, -1 Move (2T). Massively increases tankiness at the cost of mobility.
Forces an enemy to attack the Guardian. Essential for protecting vulnerable allies and controlling enemy targeting.
Counterattacks with Sword Attack when hit (once per turn). Deals bonus damage equal to damage taken (post-mitigation). Does not trigger if Guardian dies from the attack.
Tactical Tips
Fortify Stacking
Combine Fortify with buffs from Warlord or Bard to stack massive Armor. Each point of STR adds to Fortify's bonus.
Revenge Timing
Revenge Counter scales with damage taken. Tank big hits with high Armor to maximize revenge damage output.
Taunt Priority
Use Taunt on high-damage enemies targeting your support units. Force them to waste attacks on your high Armor.
Positioning
Position Guardian in chokepoints or in front of ranged units. Fortify's -1 Move is less impactful when holding position.
Counters & Matchups
Strong Against
- Physical DPS: High Armor from Fortify mitigates STR damage
- Melee units: Revenge Counter punishes close-range attackers
- Single-target damage: Can Taunt and absorb focused fire
Weak Against
- Psionic damage: Low Will (1) makes PSI attacks very effective
- Debuffs: Weaken and Mind Break reduce his effectiveness
- Kiting: Fortify's -1 Move makes him easy to kite
